I filled my first book (the one on the left) for documenting my candle making journey and forgot to post the second. I cannot stress how important it is to document the process. I am able to keep track of what works and what doesn’t. Making candles requires lots of testing. It’s always something new to learn and I love that because it’s never boring in the candle lab. I mentioned in a previous post how important it is to write down the kind of wax used, the containers, wick sizes, fragrance loads and how they throw (soft or strong) once lit, candle net weights, temperatures for adding the fragrance and pour temperature. Documenting is a must! Keep a nice journal on hand. 🕯📒🖊
