Did You Know?

I’m sure all the 100% soy candle lovers know this fact. I’ve made and tested plenty of soy candles during this journey. When I first encountered a sweating candle, I was worried. I had no clue what was happening. I would make multiple batches and some where not sweating at all. I used the same technique so I knew it wasn’t my calculations. Of course I researched the cause.

Soy flakes are made from soy bean oil (which is a natural wax) and it is sensitive when exposed to fluctuating changes in temperature. Therefore you may encounter a sweating soy candle if you haven’t already. This does not affect the quality of the candle, the scent throw or the burn. So don’t fret!!!! Simply grab a papertowel and dab the sweating oil. Then proceed to light and enjoy your candle!

Note: Once your candle has been lit, sweating normally will not reappear.
